Confidentiality
All communication and records which involve your assessment and/or treatment are confidential. However, current laws permit or require the release or disclosure of such confidential information under certain circumstances.

  • Information may be released with the consent of the client or client's legal guardian.
  • Release may be ordered by a court.
  • Notification is required by law if we have reason to suspect child abuse or neglect or if there is suspicion of abuse, neglect or exploitation of an elderly or incapacitated adult.
  • If a client indicates that (s)he may be a present danger to self or others, we may breach confidentiality to attempt to secure the safety of those involved.
All client files are kept secure in locked areas. Our practice adheres to HIPPA Guidelines.
